MicroStrategy, a business intelligence and tech company renowned for its significant Bitcoin holdings, recently declared that it would be searching for a software engineer to construct a SaaS platform based on the Lightning Network, a layer2 payment protocol stacked a top Bitcoin’s blockchain. This technology allows off-chain transactions which enhance both throughput payments and lower transaction fees.
At the Twitter Spaces discussion, Saylor elaborated on how CMOs may take advantage of the Lightning Network to motivate customers such as offering satoshi prizes for activities like writing positive reviews or filling out surveys. In addition, he indicated that enterprises should be capable of setting up their own Lightning infrastructure in “just an afternoon” with relative ease.
